A PARADISE AWAY FROM HOME.
Ages ago, humanity left Earth for the stars. Eventually, they found a paradise: Eden. And on that paradise were the Juins. In time, the colonization of Eden by humanity lead to a war between humans a Juins. In the end, the Juins lost. Hundreds of years later, Juins are secluded on their own continent and humans make up the majority of Eden's population. But over the past few years, strange occurrences were noticed all over the world. People were seen flying in the skies.

Above is the site's official rating on the RPG rating scale. Click the image to go to the site that explains the RPG equivalent of MPAA ratings. As a premium site, there are very few content restrictions that need to be enforced as per Jcink's terms of service, though there are some that are still in place that should be noted. Mainly, anything that violates U.S. law is not permitted in the forum, and more information on this subject can be found here. As long as you're not trying to sell drugs and/or a pedo, then you'll be safe from the banhammer.
No God Mode
If you played games like Doom, there's always that one cheat code that once entered, will create a prompt which says "God Mode Activated", which makes you invincible. This is not allowed here. Don't make your character invincible by shrugging off everything and well as constantly dodging. Don't make every attack a gorillion damage haymaker either. Also, for fuck's sake, don't just attack and retreat in the same post in a fight scene. When writing a fight in general, remember that it's not a competition and that you should treat the other player the way you'd want them to treat you. /sappy moral lesson Let your character get hurt. Remember site isn't about "winning" or trying to be the strongest.
Don't Write Other People's Characters
You control your own character and any NPCs in the thread, unless the NPC is staff-controlled or only one player is writing the NPC -- not characters owned by other people. Auto-hitting is a part of this. Auto-hitting is only allowed if both players agree to it and an out-of-character note should be included in the thread so staff doesn't have to break out the banhammer during a false alarm.
Don't Kill Player Characters Without Permission
Simple, right? On the subject of death, even though characters can come back to life, we don't want any Jean Greys or Krillins here. Even though this site has its roots in Dragon Ball, the gates to heaven are not revolving doors and characters generally won't be allowed to come back to life more than once, and you'd better have a good reason for it the first time.
Staff NPC Auto-Hitting Clause
Staff-controlled NPCs integral to boardwide stories have auto-hit privileges. These characters are expected to respect this privilege in battle and not abuse it. Auto-hits are to be used only to progress the story, so that plots doesn't get bogged down in a stalemate.
While having a premium forum does allow for largely unrestricted content to exist on the board, please keep your fellow players in mind. Not everyone is going to want to read a topic where your character kills a dozen people in the most brutally violent ways describable, nor will everyone want to read a topic that's at least 99.5% smut. To help differentiate between the graphic and non-graphic topics on the board, a special set of tags will be created for use in the creation of future topics. If you intend on the topic to have a focus on largely mature content, or if you plan on it containing a large amount of violence, sex, or language, use the tags to help warn people so they know what they'll be getting into.
Forced Heroes may have its origins as a DBZ site, but that does not mean characters -- even the strongest ones -- should be at DBZ levels. Kick people through buildings and punch craters into the ground all you want, but no city vaporizing attacks or planet detonating energy waves. Drastic, map changing destruction must be approved by staff.
You can use pretty much any character you want -- even more than one -- for your character's face claim. Art can be sourced from any sort of media you want, as long as it's not live-action or photorealistic CGI. Original art is also acceptable, and you can draw your own characters as long as they don't look like a grade schooler's scribbles. Face claims are not required. A written description will suffice, along with symbolic images for your avatar and icons. Also, if you're using stuff like fan art or an internet artist's OC, you're free to do so, but remember that it's on your head if they don't want people redistributing their art and give us a request to take it down.
Character Quantity Restrictions
Newcomers to the site are limited to two characters to start with. After you've stuck around for a little while -- like a month or two -- you can app as many characters as you want. If you go overboard with characters and obviously can't handle the ones you have, staff may ask you to drop some. Keep in mind that your characters don't all have to be active at the same time. NPCs for personal plots are exempt from this rule.
If you're absent from the site for two months or more without prior warning, your characters and accounts will be marked inactive and archived. Unfinished applications that are left lying around for a month or more will be archived. If you're going to be long for an extended period of time, please let staff know in advance so we don't accidentally delete your stuff. It's recommended that you post a leave of absence in the section for it if you're going to be gone for more than a week or so, especially if you're in the middle of threads.
Avatars & Icons
Your main avatar must be 250x450; any other size will be automatically resized by the board and probably won't look the way you want them to. There are two other small avatars, one in your mini-profile and another in your main profile that also appears on the top bar when you're browsing the site. These are 90x90 and 70x70 respectively.
Don't use big-ass signatures. If it stretches the board or requires excessive amounts of scrolling to get past, it isn't allowed. Otherwise, go nuts.
DoHTML is enabled on the board; feel free to use templates for signatures, thread posting, and whatever else. Make sure you use colors that match the board in order to keep things easy to read. Also, please, please, please don't use templates with microscopic-ass fonts. No one wants to bust out a magnifying glass to read 5px font. If you need to know where to find templates, ask staff.
Set up your mini-profile before posting. To do that, click the big person in the top left corner of the screen that has "settings" written under it and click "edit profile info" on the sidebar. Fill in all of the relevant information. Stuff like quotes and a character summary are optional.
Although this is a premium forum, you are not allow to post graphic or pornographic images in your mini-profile, templates, signature, or character app. If you want to use someone from Bible Black as your face claim, then as long as they're fully clothed, go for it. Above all else, keep the elastic clause in mind. Don't be that one smart ass who likes to be funny and try to create a loophole in the rules. No one likes that guy.
For the most part, the rules of this RP are very simple and they offer a lot of freedom for what your character can do. While we generally let players play and do what they please, all actions are subject to disapproval by the Administrator and other board monitors. Even if your action doesn't appear to be breaking any rules listed here, there are some things that won't be allowed for one reason or another. Often, it is because of common RP courtesies, even if they're not written in the actual rules. Or it may be because an action just wouldn't make any logical sense with regards to the current storyline or location (IE: going to the beach in Arizona). Simply put, if you don't think you should do it, don't do it, or at least ask first.
