The Iron Maiden
Lunus Rahu auspice
The auspice of war, Lunus Rahu is the goddess in her battle-matron aspect. Though a common auspice, the lupine Lunus Rahu born under the light of the full moon on a clear night is a natural born warrior, talented in all manner of physical mayhem. Very like Saiyans in general temperament and outlook, they tend to love a good fight more than anything, and often remain in the mandatory military service common in the country - meaning a disproportionately large number of them fill the military. Dogs of war indeed!
PLACE OF BIRTH
Seven-Star of Volkgorod
She has an older brother that lives in Lunadomoy that she visits, a few friends, a lover in Zvedzigorod she never speaks to, and that's about it.
Born in Lunadomoy as the daughter of a Shaman some seventy years ago, she was raised as a modest town defender and monster hunter. She got to know the forest of mists well, and from an early age with her father as her teacher. She delighted in the natural beauty and splendor that comprised her world... but she felt that she was meant for something more. She left her home, and her family, behind at the age of 20 during the Festival of the Sky, as these things are done, and left for Kostra to seek her fortune.
During that time, there was a succession of tyrants ruling Kostra with an iron fist, taking whatever they could and taxing the people into poverty while they lived like kings, The other Grand Elders were threatened, or otherwise coerced into doing the bidding of these patricians, into leaving Kostra alone, and the state nearly left the commonwealth several times to war with its neighbors. Young Volschitzu put her foot down. Hard. Literally on the throat of the current patrician. Then, she stood on it as she fought all comers. When it was clear she had the undivided attention, and when she had beaten all those who would have tried to stop her, she beheaded him, put his head on a pike, and said two famous words.
"What now?" She'd killed the patrician, the grand elder of Kostra, and at a stroke broke the entire base of his power. The people of Kostra wanted her to lead them, but she refused, most emphatically, moving on to set her nation right. Though much of her history was officially hushed up when she became one of the Seven Stars, Volschitzu became the hero of a savage nation, and set the once-poor, corrupt country on a path to greatness in just two short years. Her deeds are as often folkloric as true, but one thing IS true:
She is the Grandmaster of the Arena - the fourth in the several thousand years of its existence to have defeated the Blood Lord and secured a wish, and the only of those to have actually gotten it granted by deed.
Bisexual (Leaning Gay)
Vol is not a social butterfly. She doesn't like people much. She doesn't 'play well with others' - its just how she is. Too many dead friends, too few reliable allies, and a lot of grief have made her remote and solitary. Maybe once she was nicer. Maybe once, she was a happy woman, full of vitality and vigor, and ghosts of that can be seen in her even now in the way she smiles at a joke, the bounce in her step in as she fights, but despite her apparent youth... she is an old soul, and life has used her pretty hard. Vol cares. She's got a heart of gold - and that's just the problem. Though she may fight it, despair is beginning to swallow her whole. She longs for death, but only one thing and one thing only can give her release now - battle, in earnest.

Volschitzu is a massive woman, built on the scale of an amazonian princess with muscles dense, sleek, knotted and scarred - the body of a woman who has spent a long life behind the sword. There is a savage vitality, a stern confidence, and a regal bearing to her, and though she's bigger than a lot of men she retains definite traces of femininity - a long braid woven with scarlet ribbons and worked into her armor, legs that go for miles, and beauty most men only see in magazines - a warrior-goddess whose image alone could sail a hundred ships, with ample hips and bust, a long tail woven with scarlet ribbons and braided as it sweeps behind her, and usually some wildflowers woven into her tightly-cropped fur as well.
The sword strapped to Volschitzu's back is a straight blade, one and a half times the size of the classic longsword with a hilt to match, built to her scale and wide. Its sheathe is very plain, a simple hard leather brown affair, as is the blade itself, its metal aa curious greenish shade, like a patina'd bronze with a very slight rainbowing to it, like damascene steel. The shield on her back or on her arm is a heater, a classically shaped affair made of the same material. Armor too is made of the same odd metal - a heavy breastplate built with function before beauty in mind, thick, spiked pauldrons, gauntlets, hip pads and leg flaps like a roman skirt, and boots made for her digitigrade feet. Beneath that is chainmail and spider silk to protect her joints. Bound about her waist is a brilliant crimson sash, into which is inserted an old revolver pistol. It is tarnished and there is no hammer.
Mormian Steel Sword
Tied to her life force - unbreakable as long as she yet lives. It was made in the fires of Mt. Mormius in Zvedzigorod, forged in rimfire by the Grand Elder Aranya herself, like her armor and shield.
Mormian Steel Shield
Ornate Flamebride-craft Hunter Steel Armor
A special suit of protective mail made by a lover to protect her. She prizes this armor highly and only rarely wears it.
Her usual gear. It is well worn by everything from fire to dimensional energies to the myriad attacks of her enemies, and enchanted by Voulge.
A gift from one-time love Ashimori of Janwald
She is a hell of a showman! At this point she doesn't even mean to do it - she just shows up dramatically, looks awesome while fighting, and the wind seems to catch her fur and hair in just the right way as she poses in noble attitudes. It annoys the shit out of her.
She is one of the foremost foes of the Pamyati who prey upon the peaceful people of Rodina. She is the honorary guildmaster of the Volksgorod chapter, but really she just cannot be bothered most of the time.
She's lived in the Forest of Mists almost all her life, and has explored much of Rodina and her neighbors. There is (nearly) nothing in the forests of Rodina she cannot evade, defeat, or withstand, and little enough she does not know about its wild denizens.
Basic telepathy by reading the body of others.
Auspice (Lunus Rahu) ability: Form of War
Wolf-morph Arcuul born under the Lunus Rahu auspice are common, but the so-called Warrior auspice has been called so for a good reason - the ability of a great enough warrior born to it to ascend themselves, and become engines of war. The so-called 'Form of War' is very like a kaioken technique, Her aura becomes lurid white and blue fire, and her eyes glow blue like moonlight from inside, leaving trails as she moves.
Rolling Thunder Attack
A flashstep technique she can attack with to throw her full strength and momentum into a single strike, and then combo to another flashstep attack at machine gun speeds, gaining the full benefit of a charging attack each time.
Vol can focus huge surges of her ki into her feet as she fights, then expel it in a single kick.
Zvedzigorod is famous for its special steel alloys that come from the ancient volcano it is built near that allow warriors to channel ki through it. Her sword is made that way, but so is her shield, letting her use it to contest energy attacks as a barrier to block any assault.
Vol can channel energy into her sword to extend its cutting edge, use it to cut energy, or fight something that couldn't be hurt by normal blades. When her sword is so empowered, it is absolutely sharp, cutting even air particles, leaving a faint blue trail behind it as it moves.
She can channel power directly into a destructive kiai shout, deafening and blasting apart anything in front of her.
Bringing her blade close to her body, pointed up, and by holding her shield on her back, she adopts a spin in flight, becoming a literal streaking blue drill leaving vapor trails of sliced air particles, a blue mist that wafts and drifts around behind her.
Vol can't be killed unless she's defeated in combat. Cowardly attacks from the shadows, sniper attacks, poisons, anything but a head on assault with the intent to kill simply cannot deal her a fatal blow. This was her wish, when she defeated the Lord of Blood in the arena fifty years ago. Could be that she regrets it a bit now.
